This is my cousin Amber and this site is to help me get a van for her, hence the name "A Van for Amber".

Amber has CP and has been in a wheelchair all her life. A little over a year ago Amber moved down to AZ near my family. We love to visit with her and bring her down to our house so she can be included in family get-togethers and Holidays. It does prove to be a challenge though because neither she or us her family down here have a wheelchair van that is accessible for her normal power chair. Plus the public transportation system for disabled people here in AZ isn't very good and no buses run from Tempe (where Amber lives) to Casa Grande (where we live). Normally we need a family member to lift her from her chair to a car, but this is potentially dangerous since there is a risk that Amber could be dropped. So I have determined that we must get a wheelchair van for Amber. While I would love to be able to just afford this right now... sadly I cannot. So I'm asking for help. I believe a van would really help to improve Amber's quality of life she would be able to visit her family more often and also be included in many family outings and activities such as going to the zoo etc... So please if you can find it in the kindness of your heart, help me get Amber a van. I'm setting up a Paypal account for you to donate. My current goal to get Amber her van is 10,000.
